Season 2 of XDefiant has arrived, bringing exciting updates like the new Highwaymen faction, a fresh map, and the much-anticipated Bomb mode. Along with these additions comes a new set of weapons ready for players to unlock and dominate the battlefield.
XDefiant already offers a wide variety of weapon choices, catering to different playstyles. With the arrival of Season 2, the latest weapons continue to add diversity while shaking up the game’s meta.
How to Unlock the New Weapons
In total, three new weapons have been introduced in Season 2, all available through the battle pass.
First up is the PP-19 submachine gun, which shares similarities with the Bizon. While it has a lower fire rate, its power is undeniable, and with the right attachments, you can easily control its recoil. You’ll unlock the PP-19 when you reach Tier 20 of the battle pass.
Next, the SPAS-12 makes its debut. This semi-automatic shotgun is devastating at close range, with unparalleled firepower. However, it comes with slower handling and mobility. The SPAS-12 is unlocked at Tier 50 of the battle pass.
Lastly, the L86 light machine gun offers a more mobile option for LMG enthusiasts. Unlike traditional LMGs, the L86 reloads faster and provides decent agility, though it does have lower damage output. You can unlock the L86 at Tier 80 of the battle pass.
The best part is that all three weapons are available for free through the battle pass, meaning you don’t need to purchase the pass to unlock them. While there’s a chance more weapons could be introduced later in the season, for now, these three additions from the Highwaymen faction are the ones to grind for.
